Coastal Conversations Webinar Proposals
We invite student leaders to submit proposals for interactive webinars that engage participants in exploring innovative practices, sharing expertise and experiences, and advancing conversations about peer academic support. Presenting a webinar is an excellent opportunity to build your professional portfolio, strengthen your presentation and facilitation skills, and contribute to the growth and success of peer educators across campuses.
Submission Instructions
Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal for the11th Annual West Coast Peer Learning Network Conference. Please review the proposal criteria below and submit following the instructions at bottom of this page.
Proposal Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on their relevance to current issues in peer-led academic support in a collegiate environment. Webinars should focus on empowering and equipping conference participants around best practices in peer-led academic support providing and/or exploring tools, resources, and creative problem solving for issues facing peer-to-peer learning paraprofessionals.
Eligibility for Submission
Any paraprofessionals (Tutors, SI Leaders, Learning Assistants, Peer Academic Coaches, etc.) involved in peer-led academic support are invited to submit proposals. The West Coast Peer Learning Network Conference does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or marital status.
Interactive Webinar Format
Real-time (Online) format focuses on a discussion of current issues in peer-led academic support. Presentations may be based on current research, best practices, may be developmental, or even theoretical. Topics should be of community interest using innovative, thought-provoking content and are encouraged to be interactive. All webinar sessions will be 60 minutes long.
Dates and Deadlines
All proposals for the Fall 2026 Coastal Conversations Webinar Series must be submitted by Sunday, August 9, 2026 at 11:59 pm (PST). Selected presenters will be contacted via email Friday, August 14, 2026.
